Basmati POS — Your restaurant. Your hardware. Your data.
The POS your restaurant fully owns:
works offline, runs on your devices, and keeps your data to itself.

BUILT TO STAY
IN CONTROL
A point-of-sale system built for food businesses that want to stay in control.
The Wifi Drops. You Keep Selling.
Take orders, send tickets to the kitchen, print receipts, and get paid — even with the router unplugged. A dead connection never stops a sale.
Your Sales. Your Customers. Yours.
Everything you ring up lives on your own machine, not someone else's cloud. There's no lock-in, and nothing is shared with an outside service unless you say so.
No New Gear to Buy
Runs on the computer or tablet you already have — Windows, Mac, or Linux. One device runs the whole shop.
New Tablet? Running in a Minute.
Staff connect their tablets and kitchen screens by scanning a QR code. Nothing to install, nothing to set up on each device.
Speaks Your Team's Language
The screen comes in eight languages, including full right-to-left for Persian — so every member of your team is comfortable, whatever your prices and taxes are set to.
Nobody's Watching Your Numbers
No tracking, and no data leaves your shop by default. Basmati only talks to the outside world when you switch on a feature that needs it.
ONE HOST,
MANY SCREENS
Basmati POS uses a simple one-host model.
One Machine Runs Everything
Install Basmati POS on a Windows, macOS, or Linux device — including a Windows tablet like a Surface. This host holds the local database, runs the servers, and talks to your printers and hardware.
Staff Devices Join Over the Network
Waiter tablets and kitchen screens connect as browser clients. There is nothing to install on them.
Connecting Is Quick
Open the host at basmati.local, or scan the generated QR code / use the shown IP address.
The Right Screen for the Right Job
Servers and managers use the tableside Waiter & Table Terminal for ordering; the kitchen uses the KDS display board.
RUNS WHERE
YOU WORK
Install on hardware you already own. Staff devices just need a browser and your local network.
Windows
x64 installer.
macOS
Intel and Apple Silicon (DMG / zip); also distributed via the Mac App Store.
Linux
AppImage, deb, rpm, and snap, for x64 and arm64.
